Till's Books
There is a new book by Till. Amazon.de have two books listed by 'Till
Lindemann' called "Meine Mutter ist blind" and "Messer" that are due
out sometime this year. I don't know if these are the same books or if
it's two different Lindemann's. From the fanarea: Some
of you really have an unsurpassable level of attentiveness and naturally
the announcement in the internet of a book by an author called Till Lindemann
didn't escape your attention either. The explanation: Till was approached
by a publisher and asked if he would be interested in publishing texts
and poems from over the last years as a book. Since Till doesn't only
write when Rammstein are making music but unremittingly forms his thoughts
and emotions in verse, this offer was indeed very attractive. The first
interviews were conducted.
This should, however, still not have led to an book store announcement.
There'll be a few words with the publisher about that. Nonetheless, we
think that this collection of poems looks likely to come together. Watch
out for that! The last time that Rammstein had a problem with
the publishers, it took about two years for the Rammstein book to come
out... we'll see what happens with this one. Thanks
to Joep and cartwoman
Fan Book
A book by a fan, Michele Bettendorf, called Ursprung Punkszene (Origins of the Punk Scene) will be released sometime in September. It should be available on amazon.de and bol.de. The book is about Rammstein and bands like Feeling B, Die Firma (not the rap group), and Freygang. Thanks to Michele
Moscow Cancellation
There was talk of cancelling the Moscow concert before the rioting took place. From Shout.ru: As said by very reliable sources, great Rammstein open air show on Tushino airdrome in Moscow on Juny 19th can be cancelled by Moscow Government. The reason is easy: officials afraid possible riots during show and a lot of Nazi among Rammstein fans. Today we received an official confirmation of this info from T.C.I. (organizer and promoter). The date of this news entry was April 26, although they didn't received confirmation from T.C.I. until June 13th.

Other bands featured in it are In Extremo, Feeling B, The Inchtabokatables, Blind Passengers, Die Skeptiker, and Freygang. The movie has been playing at a few locations in Germany. There are short scenes from each band on the website, in the "filmmaterial" section.

Concert Info
The concert in Moscow on the 19th has been cancelled. This was due to
the rioting that took place after Russia lost the soccer match against
Japan. Since many of the people that participated in the riots were right-wingers,
Rammstein and the promoters felt it would not be safe for the "civilized
Rammstein fans" at the concert. Rammstein will go on Radio Ultra though
on the 19th and discuss their position on fascism, extremism, and totalitarianism
in contemporary civilized society. If someone can send this conversation
to me in mp3 format, it will be very appreciated.
The concert in Kiev may also be cancelled, but I am not sure why. As
soon as I find out if it's true or not, I'll post more details about
it.
So far, it looks like Rammstein will play at Hultsfred tomorrow.
Clawfinger and Russian band Psyshit will
be the support in St. Petersburg.
Fan Submissions

Cancelled Dates
Rammstein have been forced to cancel a few upcoming dates. From the
fanarea: Dear Rammstein Fans,
according to a severe food poisening, keyboarder Flake Lorenz was hospitalized
approximately a week ago. Although he was already released from the hospital,
regrettably Rammstein had to cancel the concerts for this weekend (Austria,
Vienna Neustadt: June 7th; Italy, Gods of Metal: June 8th; Ljubbljana,
Hala Tivoli: June, 10th) following the medical advice last night. Further
details will follow in the Fanarea next week.
Sincerly, Antje Apparently about 140 people are sick, 16 of them
are life-threatening. The rest of the band is fine.
xXx Soundtrack
The soundtrack to xXx should be released sometime in July, most likely near the end of the month. In addition to tracks by Rammstein, Orbital, and Eve, there will also be tracks by Hatebreed, Queens of the Stone Age, Mars Volta, Joy and a new track by Moby. The soundtrack will either be one cd with 18 tracks or a double cd with the first cd containing music directly from the movie (more rock and European based) and the second cd with hip-hop music.

US Tour?
Rammstein MIGHT be touring the US... again! In an interview with Maurice Engelen (aka Praga Khan), he said that he will be touring with Rammstein in the US starting July 12th until the end of August. According to Praga Khan's booking management, "Chances are looking good that this could happen! In the middle of negotiations, but looking good so far." I would NOT get your hopes up yet though since Rammstein have been confirmed to be playing in Portugal on July 13th, but you may want to start saving up some money, just in case. As soon as I find out more about this tour or possible dates/cities, I'll post it. Thanks to Joep and Betsy for this info!

Official Site
Info about the official Rammstein site: Dear Rammstein
fans,
as you might have already noticed, our webpage and the Fanarea are no
longer accessable.
Unfortunately, we could not come to an agreement with the Record Company
Motor Music, which was responsible for hosting and management of the
page so far, regarding constructive future cooperation and updating of
the page. To exert pressure on us, the page was closed.
Therefore, we decided to look for alternatives as soon as possible. You
can find all relevant information on well-updated fanpages such as www.herzeleid.com.
The Fanarea will be reconstructed with its own domain shortly. We will
send all further information via mail to you and hope for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Antje
(Fanarea)
Tour Errors
Motor.de erroneously listed some dates for Rammstein that included Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and a few other dates, one of which conflicted with the 2nd Manchester date, but they realized their error and took them off.

Tour Info
More festival dates have been confirmed.
There's an unconfirmed date in the Netherlands.
