Review

My initial impressions were not so good. I walked in half way through Raging Speedhorn, and must say, although they were much (emphasis on much) better than American Headcharge, it was doing nothing for me at all! I wasn't in long before they said bye to the Glasgow fan base, then a few adjustments on stage. TADA!!!!! AMERICAN HEADCHARGE!! I have never hated a support band so much in all my life, slipknot wannabe's. Anyway I will give them their credit for Just So You Know live, it was good, they are good enough live, but their music just is not my type

The stage was adjusted quite a bit for Rammstein, so it took about 30 minutes before they came on. The wait was well worth it! The hall went dark, roars everywhere as you head the beginning to Mein Herz Brennt. The beginning words of the song we couldn't see Till, but as soon as the guitars broke in and interrupted abruptly, Till emerged ever so quickly to a very happy crowd who roared when they saw him. Smiles all round! The pyrotechnics kicked in with the red flare on Till's hand, who he raised to the crowd. When the stage went quiet, we heard the march beat of the drum, and immediately the song was recognized, Links 2 3 4. My boyfriend, who was with me, was like a fish with his mouth wide open in this song, the mouth flame throwers. It was very impressive if a little hot!

The band went through a whole heap of songs. I remember Mutter well, from watching Till sucking his thumb, hehe. Over course, Bück Dick, was a favourite, even if a little shocking. I later found out what was shooting out of that Dildo, French Liqueur. All through that concert I can remember the heat that came off of the stage, from the flying fireworks in Du Hast to the fire jumping out the stage in Ich Will. They went off, and Glasgow decided they weren't letting them get away so easily, with the thumping of 'Rammstein' being screamed they came back on again to an extremely happy crowd. There was screams for 'Sonne' which they did eventually play, while Paul and Richard were flying about and jumping on amps, and, Till hitting one of amps, that made the whole place jump. Finally, the ever popular metal jacket, and they lazer, that am proud to admit caught me!!

It was a great gig, one of the best I have ever seen, their mix of harsh guitar and thumping lyrics, along with those pyrotechnics, it was an amazing gig to see! They played so many songs, so well, so spectacularly it would be hard to call it a bad gig. Even if you didn't like the music, you would have came out amazed with their expertise of playing with fire!
