Review
After waiting in 3 hours in the ice cold streets of Copenhagen we got into Forum as some of the first around 18:30. The crowd vould be divided in two, and we got some of the 250 best places, because we were almost up front, placed in front of where Richard would be. At around 20:00 Exilia went on stage, and played for about 35 minutes. Very brutal, and very good. After they had cleared the stage, we waited for 25 minutes... Much too long. Then the lights were turned off, and the start of Reise Reise began... Suddently, the curtain fell, and there they were. All of them except Till. Shortly after, he appeared on stage, and Reise Reise began. Very powerfull, and with good response from the audience. But Till made a few mistakes in the song (It wouldn't be the last time.). In theend of the song, We saw Flake playing on his harmonica, dressed up like one of the bikers in Village People, which of course was enough reasons for us to make jokes and funny comments about it...
Anyway, right after he finished to play, Schneider got up from his chair, and started clapping to get people going before Links 2-3-4. As usual, very powerfull, lot of energy coming from the stage. And people went mad. They got even worse in the next song, Keine Lust, even though Till once again made mistakes in the lyrics...
Then came the first pyro, because it was time to yell Feuer Frei! I didn't see much of it, because out of nowhere three guys that were 30 cm. taller than me got just in front of me, so i only saw the flames from the flamethrowers.
After that, the lights were almost off, but we heard Richard yell "Rein!", but people didn't respond to it the first 3 times, but afterwards, the reply "Raus!" was at an acceptable level. Till looked obviously very randy, and grabbed down to the Weiche Teile once or twice during the song... Then came Morgenstern, not too well recieved, but there was also problems with the microphones, so we couldn't hear it too well. Only good thing was the pyro, 4 "stars" falling down onto stage.
Mein Teil: Red lights all over the stage, and Till coming out in the chef's outfit, ready to cook... People weren't headbanging that much, because most of them were laughing their asses off, because Flake's mask looked so god damn ugly, and they loved seeing Till play with the firethrower... Very funny, and a good replacement to Bück dich.
Then came Stein um Stein. Wasn't too good. Again, due to technical problems. Do'h! And Paul dropped his hat on the floor while playing, showing his tiny little mohawk. Compared to some dudes with a mohawk among the crowd, it looked like a little baby...
After that, it was time to get some blues... Paul and Richard changed their electric guitars, and got some accoustic ones. Time to let LOS. (Apparently, a few morons took it too seriously, and climed up on the fence that separated the ones up front from the rest, and then jumped into the crowd. One of them kicked me in the head while doing that. Jackass...) Schneider sat down at a little drumkit, and it almost seemed like he was too big to sit there... While Flake was playing his little solo (I wouldn't call it a solo, he was more like hitting the keyboard ramdomly...) Paul and Richard changed guitars again, back to the electric, an they were having a little "band-meeting" in the corner with Schneider. Apparently, something funny had happened, because they couldn't stop laughing afterwards...
Time to get Russian: Moskau was well recieved in the crowd, but i think i was the only one who knew the Russian bits in the song and sang along... I was asked several times later: how the f*** did you learn the Russian part?...
After Moskau, the stage lights were off, untill a firebow appeared out of nowhere! And people sang so loud, that Richard's part in the song, that is known in Live Aus Berlin couldn't be heard by the crowd... Good thing that he sang the chorus. His vocals were good back-up for Till. The solo was good, but what got people's attention was the small blue flames on Paul and Richard's arms. They loved it.
Du. Du hast. Du hast mich! Till was again ready for some fun, when he pulled out a gun, which set off fireworks that were sent over the crowds heads. Good one.
Then, it felt like time to headbang once again. Sehnsucht was surprisingly the most loved song untill now. All the usual effects were used during the song..
The lights behind Schneider started to move, like it was parts of a puzzle. It ended by shaping Stars and Stripes. We're all living in Amerika, Coca Cola, Wonderbra... Flake drove around on an electric scooter and his keyboard looked like a pizza box from where we were standing/jumping/headbanging... Suddently, it looked like he exploded, and there was red/white/blue konfetti everywhere. Very cool effect, and everyone was happy.
After Amerika, Till said the first words to the crowd that wasn't part of a song: Kopenhagen, Thank you very much. Then they all left stage. A few minutes later, we heard the keyboard-intro, and we knew, that it was time for more fire! RRRRRRammstein! In stead of the burning coat, Till had two mechanical fire-shooting arms, that looked quite a lot as the arms of Modo from that crappy cartoon Biker Mice from Mars if anyone remembers that one... Anyway, Till once again screwed up in the lyrics (Verdammt...) And you could see on his face, that he noticed it right away... tsk tsk.
Time to learn how to count in German... Sonne had all the elements required to make a good show. Fire, stage-headbanging, and Till screwing up again... Still people were very pleased...
Ich will set off massive explosions, that were worthy of a good show, and it worked as a crowd pleaser (as usual). And Till fucked up the lyrics for the last time on the show...
Then, there was finally made some room for Olli, that had been very anonymous during the concert. He sang along when Ohne dich was played, and he stood next to Till, when it started to rain with sparkles on Till, and everyone looked like they were feeling so sorry for him. Clearly a song for the ladies. They were actually a big part of the crowd. More than you would expect..
Time for the last song of the evening: Till went to the far left side of the stage, and it looked like he was licking on one of the microphones... Either that, or he was flirting with someone from the crowd... Anyway, Stripped was well recieved, maybe because Olli went out in the rubber boat. Safe stagediving? Yessir! While Olli was getting the attention, Paul walked around to the other band members telling jokes, and Richard really couldn't stop laughing, and Paul continued telling something. Finally, he stopped laughing, and played his solo in the song. But he was smiling the rest of the time, which wasn't the case before, where the classic evil "stone-face" was on before...
After the song was finished, Till thanked the crowd once again, and Schneider threw his drumsticks out to the crowd... Last to leave the stage was Flake, who bent over for us before leaving, which of course created a massive reaction in the audience.
Vielen Dank, Rammstein, es war wunderbar.
